I agree with the post above. Based on what I have researched, you want to focus on foods rich in protein and fiber and avoid fast burning carbs which often become sugar if not burned off.
In terms of food to avoid, really anything that is considered junk. Soda, chips, fried foods, sugar rich sweets and dairies. You want to stick to cleaner eating with less ingredients.
You can eat just about anything you want so long as you are burning off the calories but for the sake of being healthier, stick to better options. Instead of frozen dinners, bagged sides, and boxed snacks opt for fresher options that need to be prepared.
I'd say in terms of protein, most are fine in moderation but it is best to stick to chicken, turkey, and fish. All white meats. You can have beef or pork but limit this to once a week.
