What are the best pre and post workout meals?

I made an appointment with a dietitian but unfortunately, I will not be able to get in with him until mid-July and I honestly don’t want to wait to make adjustments. Can anyone recommend the best pre and post workout meals for someone looking to get the most out of their workout

It is better to eat lighter prior to working out. A lot of people swear by toast with banana, peanut butter, and chia seeds on it. As for after, eggs are a very good option. You can do a veggie omelet with spinach which will help with recover and repair.

I always read about people eating yogurt and fruit before working out and eating something like chicken and vegetables after. You get a healthy mix of nutrition doing this without any bloat from carbs.

A cheap and easy go-to for a lot of people is protein toast. It works great as a pre or post workout meal. Toast up two pieces of your favorite bread, add on some peanut butter, pumpkin, sesame, and chia seeds. It tastes great and offers you a nice variety of vitamins and minerals.

If you want to keep things very simple, just opt for brown rice with your choice of vegetable and either go with chicken or fish. It is a very balanced meal great for both pre and post workout.
