What are the best post workout meals for muscle gain?

I am looking to put on muscle but I am not sure what the best meals would be to do this. I am trying to figure out what to eat right after my workout since I workout just before dinner so within the hour of hitting the gym, I am eating. What are some good meal options to help with muscle gain and repair post workout?

Protein all around. Depending on what kinds of meat you enjoy, you can consider a big piece of fish with a side of vegetables, grilled chicken with beans, or a steak and potato. Just make sure to keep the meal lean as possible.

You want a nice lean portion of protein with vegetables and slow burning carbs such as beans. You should avoid carbs unless you plan on bulking up and then cutting down.

MEAT! No joke. You want to eat a lot of meat. You also want to make sure you are getting enough fiber to fully digest it and get it to where it needs to go. Nothing sucks more than trying to make gains and feeling like you are plugged up.

Focus more on protein. You don't want to up it too much that you end up with IBS issues or gout though. Make sure it is lean meats and not hotdogs and lunch meats which are typically unhealthy.

Protein shakes that are designed to be digested after working out have huge success. I was speaking with someone on that bodybuilders site and he swears by it. I can't remember the brand but it helped him gain a lot of muscle and he started out as a fairly thing guy.
