Healthy pre workout meal for weight loss?

I want to get some meal options that will help me lose weight but also ones that are good to eat before working out. I was on another site that was recommending to exercise on an empty stomach to burn the most fat. I tried this and I ended up feeling sick 4 days in. I missed a few days of work because I couldn't even move. I was not only tired and sore but completely drained of energy. So I am thinking eating beforehand is ideal for me. What meals are healthy and good to eat prior to working out for someone on a diet?

Exercising without eating is a lot harder on the body and no recommended unless you are already in good shape. I recommend focusing on a lighter meal that is high in protein and since you have issues with energy, eating a banana or a cup of berries with your meal will help balance things out.

Do something light. What kind of meal are you looking for? Something you can eat in the AM or PM? And how long do you have before you exercise from the moment of finishing your meal?

Oatmeal and fruit is a simple, fast, and nutritious option to eat before working out. Oatmeal will keep you full and supply you with energy while the fruit will give you good amounts of vitamin C which help with tissue repair.

Fruit and vegetables are probably the easiest to people to digest. You can opt for steamed and seasoned vegetables or a fruit salad. Both are good, easy on the stomach, and won't mess up a diet.
