What are some tips or advice to get the best results for those of us out there who are eating healthy and exercising? I want to get in better shape but I feel like I have been stuck for awhile now, not seeing much change at all so I want to improve things for myself.
Drink water. Even if you are not thirsty, make a habit of drinking at least 70oz daily. You can count your coffee or tea into this if you are not using sugar.
Never skip meals. I know it sounds like a good way to save on calories but you just end up overeating later in the day. I thought I was eating next to nothing before and it turned out I was getting nearly 2,300 calories.
Avoid junk. I know it sounds obvious but we easily find ourselves eating junk without even realizing it. Just because you worked out today doesn't mean you should eat a bunch of cookies. That will just undo your hard work.
Don't drink soda. If you like it, enjoy maybe 1 can per week and that is it. It is best to just cut it our completely because it is no different than drinking sugar water. Not only will it hinder weight loss but it is bad for your teeth and bones.
In terms of exercising, make sure you are eating a healthy snack or meal before and after to help the body repair and not go into a state of stress where it will want to hold onto your stored fat.
