If you are focusing on losing weight, what meals would be good after working out to refuel the body without packing on too many carbs or calories that will ruin you progress??
If you want to lose a lot of weight or have your body lose weight faster, stick to cleaner eating. Cut out the carbs and go for meals like a steak and vegetables, chicken and vegetables, salads, soups, and chili. You can have some carbs, just keep it very limited.

I personally prefer to stick to ones that contain protein and sugar (from fruit) as it offers good energy and recovery quickly.
Years ago a man at my local gym swore by eating chicken (grilled breast) with fruit. He said he would have a large grilled chicken breast and a different kind of fruit each day. Some days it would be sliced apple, other days grapes, sometimes berries. He mixed it up and it helped him to cut down his body fat percentage in only a few months.
Just keep your carb content higher in the AM and lower in the PM if you are working out in the morning or afternoon. I'd say if it is possible, eat any carbs you want for the day before lunch and save dinner and snacks for healthier, lower calories foods.
I agree about eating your carbs earlier in the day. You are more likely to burn them off vs eating them for dinner or as a snack in the evening. It is hard to say what will work best for everyone but generally for most people, avoiding carbs for dinner and late night snacking is best.
