Best breakfast pre workout for women?

I always see articles that are more for men’s fitness than women’s fitness so I am not sure if pre workout meals differ here. Since I work out in the AM, I would like to eat a breakfast that will do my body good. What are the best breakfast options?

Have you considered a whey protein drink? I read a study that shows women who drank a whey protein drink or shake 2 hours prior to working out saw better results and faster recovery.

My wife likes to use smoothies with peanut butter in them. Her favorite is a peanut butter and berry smoothie. She does half a frozen banana, half a cup of frozen strawberries, half a cup of frozen blueberries, 3 table spoons of butter, 1 cup of almond milks, and 2 tablespoons of chia seeds.

Eggs. I always tell ladies that eggs are best for women when eaten before working out because of the nutritional content they provide. It is best to do them in olive oil or just eat them hard boiled. Don't fry them in butter, that is too much fat.

My girlfriend works out 3 days a week and before every work out she eats the same thing, each time. She has a slice of toast with banana, peanut butter, and some kind of seeds. It seems to work great for her.

You can't for wrong with eggs or peanut butter as a protein source. I think both are great and no matter how you eat them, they will both fuel you with good energy and nutrition.
